أعلن بريد الإمارات عن مواصلة تقديم عدد من خدماته المتميزة لمتعامليه الذين يخططون لقضاء عطلاتهم خارج الدولة، خاصة مع حلول فصل الصيف وبدء موسم العطلات، وبما يمكنهم من الاستمتاع بعطلة مريحة دون عناء.

ويتمتع متعاملو بريد الإمارات بالعديد من الخدمات المتميزة والتي تشمل إصدار رخصة قيادة دولية، وسداد رسوم تأشيرة الولايات المتحدة ورسوم تذاكر السفر الخاصة بخطوط طيران مختارة، من مراكز خدمات السعادة التابعة لبريد الإمارات والمنتشرة في مختلف أنحاء دولة الإمارات.

ويتعاون بريد الإمارات مع نادي الإمارات للسيارات والسياحة، لإصدار رخصة القيادة الدولية المعتمدة وذلك في جميع مراكز خدمات السعادة التابعة له، لتمكين المتعاملين الذين ينوون القيادة خارج الدولة، من الحصول على رخصة قيادة دولية سارية لمدة عام، بمجرد تقديمهم نسخة عن رخصة قيادة سارية المفعول، وبطاقة الهوية الإماراتية، وجواز السفر، وصور شخصية

أما الراغبون بالسفر إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية هذا الصيف، يوفر بريد الإمارات قناة إضافية لسداد الرسوم الخاصة بطلبات التأشيرة الأمريكية، ويمكن للمتعاملين دفع تلك الرسوم عبر 69مركزاً لخدمات السعادة، وذلكبعد تعبئة الطلب على موقع السفارة.

كما تشمل الخدمات المقدمة؛ تذاكر الطيران، حيث يمكن للعملاء سداد قيمة تذاكر السفر الصادرة من "فلاي دبي" و"العربية" للطيران، وأيضاً تعديل الحجوزات الحالية واستلام تذاكرهم من أحد مراكز خدمات السعادة الأقرب لهم.

وقال سعادة عبد الله محمد الأشرم الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات بالوكالة: "يواصل بريد الإمارات التزامه بجعل المراكز التابعة له بمثابة وجهة متكاملة تقدم حلولاً متعددة للمجتمع. ويسعدنا في تقديم مجموعة من الخدمات التي يحتاجها الراغبون في السفر خارج الدولة، لنسهّل عليهم التخطيط لرحلتهم والسفر دون أي عناء. "

ومن جانبه، قال سعادة محمد بن سليم، رئيس نادي الإمارات للسيارات والسياحة: "نحث كل من يرغب في القيادة خارج الدولة خلال هذه العطلة الصيفية أو مستقبلاً، على القيام بذلك بشكل قانوني وآمن. ويسهم تعاوننا مع بريد الإمارات في تسهيل الحصول على رخصة قيادة دولية، حيث يمكن لمتعامليه استخراجها في أقل من 5 دقائق فقط، تماشياً مع جهودنا المستمرة لتقديم أفضل الخدمات للمتعاملين".

الجدير بالذكر أنه يمكن استخدام رخصة القيادة الدولية بكل سهولة في أكثر من 175 دولة مختلفة، ونود تذكير المتعاملين بأنه يمكنهم استخدام رخصة القيادة الإماراتية وحدها في العديد من الدول لتأجير سيارة، إلا أن بعض تطبيقاتالمحاكم في تلك الدولة تنظر فقط الى الاحكام العامة المنبثقة عن الاتفاقيات الدولية في شأن المرور في أي خلاف يتعلق بالتأمين أو ما عداه، والتي تشير الى ضرورة أن تتوفر رخصة قيادة دولية.

With summer in full swing, Emirates Post is reminding customers that it offers a range of services for those planning vacations so they can enjoy a hassle-free holiday. Customers can obtain an international driving licence and make payments for their US visa fees and for select airline tickets at their nearest branch.

In partnership with the Automobile and Touring Club of UAE, Emirates Post issues authorised international driving licences at all of its Happiness Centres. Customers planning on driving abroad can obtain a permit by simply providing copies of a valid driving licence, Emirates ID, passport and personal photo. Once all documents are submitted, a one-year licence is printed on the spot so customers can avoid any unnecessary delays.

For anyone heading Stateside this summer, Emirates Post offers an additional payment channel for US visa applicants. Customers have the option of paying their visa fees at 69 Happiness Centres in the UAE after filling out the application on the Embassy website.

The offered services extend to airline tickets also. Customers can pay for tickets with Fly Dubai and Air Arabia, modify existing bookings and collect against an existing ticket booking at their local Emirates Post branch.

Commenting on the offers, **HE Abdulla M. Alashram, Acting Group CEO at Emirates Post Group**, said: "Emirates Post is committed to making our postal centres serve as one-stop shops that provide multiple convenient solutions to the surrounding community. We are pleased to be offering a range of services for those traveling on vacation to facilitate their planning requirements and ensure a hassle-free experience."

**HE Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE**, stated: "We urge everyone planning to drive abroad this summer and, in the future, to do so legally and safely. In corporation with Emirates Post, the procedure for obtaining an International Driving license is now very simple, providing customers the opportunity to obtain the license over the counter in less than five minutes, at Emirates Post Happiness Centres. This falls in line with our continuous efforts to provide the best services that will make customers' lives easier".

The international driver's license allows you to drive in over 175 different countries with ease. Customers are reminded that although in many countries, the UAE driving license alone can avail you of a rental vehicle, car insurance and any legal disputes will not hold in court as the international traffic convention laws outline the need for an IDL, so it is strongly recommended that they apply and carry an IDL to protect themselves.

أعلنت وكالة الإمارات للفضاء عن إرسال بذور من شجرة النخيل إلى محطة الفضاء الدولية خلال الأيام القليلة القادمة، لدراسة مدى تأثرها ببيئة الفضاء وبحث إمكانية زراعتها في كوكب المريخ مستقبلاً، في تجربة علمية بحثية هي الأولى من نوعها في العالم يجري تنظيمها بالتعاون مع كلية الاغذية والزراعة في جامعة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وشركة "نانو راكس".

وسيكون الإطلاق من قاعدة "كيب كنافيرال" بولاية فلوريدا في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وذلك على متن صاروخ "فالكون 9" الذي سيحمل مركبة "دراغون" التابع لشركة "سبيس أكس"، في المهمة رقم 18 لتزويد محطة الفضاء الدولية بالمؤن.

وجرى إيصال نوى النخيل إلى منصة الإطلاق من قبل "بريد الإمارات" المزود الرائد للخدمات البريدية وحلول التوصيل السريع في دولة الإمارات، في حين جرى تنظيم عملية الإطلاق من قبل شركة "نانو راكس" في إطار اتفاقية "سبيس آكس" التي وقعتها مع وكالة الفضاء الأمريكية "ناسا"، كما ستشرف الشركة على عمليات السلامة وتسجيل البيانات والإطلاق والتشغيل للتجربة، والتي ستشمل إمكانية تأقلم هذه النبتة مع ظروف انعدام الجاذبية في الفضاء. وستعود التجربة التي سيتم إرسالها إلى المحطة عند الانتهاء من إجراء التجارب عليها، وذلك لزراعتها مجدداً على الأرض بهدف البحث والتحليل واجراء التجارب العلمية وتدوين الفروقات التي أثرت عليها بعد الفترة التي قضتها في الفضاء.

وتأتي التجربة ضمن مشروع "تجربة النخلة في الفضاء" الذي يسعى للوصول إلى إمكانية زراعة شجر النخيل على سطح كوكب المريخ، من خلال إرسال بذور هذه الشجرة كمرحلة أولى إلى محطة الفضاء الدولية لإجراء الاختبارات عليها، ثم إلى كوكب المريخ لزراعتها في مراحل مستقبلية. وتم اختيار شجرة النخيل لمكانتها ورمزيتها لدى شعب الإمارات عامة وللمغفور له بإذن الله تعالى الوالد المؤسس الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان "طيب الله ثراه" خاصة، حيث اهتم بها، وحرص على تطوير زراعتها حتى أصبحت الإمارات من بين أعلى الدول من حيث عدد هذا النوع من الأشجار.

ويدعم المشروع الجهود العلمية العالمية لتحقيق الأمن الغذائي على كوكب الأرض وفي الفضاء الخارجي، وهو بمثابة مساهمة دولة الإمارات في هذه الجهود عبر إيجاد حلول لتحديات الزراعة، إذ يتطلب العيش في الفضاء لفترات طويلة توفر كميات كبيرة ومناسبة من الطعام والماء والأوكسجين وهو ما تسعى دولة الإمارات إلى معالجته من خلال مشاريعها البحثية. وستساهم هذه الحلول التي ستصل إليها دولة الإمارات والمجتمع الدولي في إيجاد حلول للتحديات الزراعية التي نواجهها على كوكب الأرض، وخاصة في الدولة بسبب تحديات المناخ والتربة وشح المياه الطبيعية.

وبهذا الصدد، قال الدكتور خالد الهاشمي، مدير إدارة المهمات الفضائية في وكالة الإمارات للفضاء: "وصل القطاع الفضائي الوطني إلى مراحل متقدمة تجعله قادراً على إطلاق أعقد المشاريع البحثية وأصعبها في هذا المجال، ويؤكد هذا المشروع على الدور الفاعل الذي تلعبه دولة الإمارات في مجال الأبحاث الفضائية وتطورها في هذا المجال بما يعود بالفائدة على البشرية. ويأتي هذا المشروع ضمن المستهدفات الاستراتيجية لوكالة الإمارات للفضاء والرامية إلى دعم عملية البحث العلمي في مجال الفضاء بالدولة، كما يعزز من جهودها على صعيد بناء الشراكات المحلية والعالمية".

وبدوره ، قال سعادة عبد الله محمد الأشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات بالوكالة: "يثبت هذا المشروع المكانة التي وصلتها دولة الإمارات في قطاع الأبحاث الفضائية، ونحن فخورون بالتعاون مع وكالة الإمارات للفضاء في هذه التجربة العلمية الطموحة، خاصة لما ترمز إليه أشجار النخيل وارتباطها الوثيق بثقافتنا وتراثنا، ومن ناحية أخرى فإن هذا المشروع ينسجم مع التزامنا المتواصل بدعم الجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى تعزيز ثقافة الابتكار وتحقيق التميز والريادة، ونتطلع إلى نتائج هذه التجربة ونجاحها".

وأضاف سعادته: "أن شجرة النخيل ساهمت بدور مهم في عصر ما قبل النفط في دولة الإمارات، حيث كانت تشكل المحور الأساسي للحياة، وهي الشجرة الوحيدة التي يستغل كل ما تقدمه به في العديد من الاستخدامات والاستعمالات في الحياة اليومية لشعب الدولة والمنطقة، إذ تستخدم ثمار شجرة النخيل للغذاء، وجذوعها وسعفها في البناء، وخوصها وليفها في العديد من الصناعات اليدوية المهمة التي اشتهرت بها المنطقة".

ومن جانبه، قال راشد الزعابي المُشرف على المشروع وصاحب الفكرة: "ينسجم هذا المشروع مع مشاريع ومبادرات أخرى أطلقتها دولة الإمارات في هذا الإطار، منها مشروع "المريخ 2117" ومشروع مدينة المريخ العلمية الذي تعمل الدولة من خلاله على محاكاة ظروف العيش على سطح المريخ، من بينها تأمين الغذاء والمياه واستدامة هذه الموارد".

وأضاف: "جرى اختيار شجرة النخيل بسبب طبيعتها الملائمة للزراعة ضمن بيئة شبيهة بكوكب المريخ، إضافة لما تحظى به من اهتمام بالغ لما لها من قيمة خاصة ترتبط بعادات شعبها وتقاليده وقيم حياته اليومية، حيث تعتبر من أهم وأقدم الأشجار التي تزرع في المنطقة، وإحدى البصمات التاريخية في المنطقة كونها وجدت في دولة الإمارات منذ آلاف السنين وتعتبر جزء أساسي من بيئتها، وسيرتبط نجاح التجربة على هذه الشجرة باسم الدولة في المستقبل".

يذكر أن شجرة النخيل ساهمت بدور مهم في عصر ما قبل النفط في دولة الإمارات، حيث كانت تشكل المحور الأساسي للحياة، وهي الشجرة الوحيدة التي يستغل كل ما تقدمه به في العديد من الاستخدامات والاستعمالات في الحياة اليومية لشعب الدولة والمنطقة، إذ تستخدم ثمار شجرة النخيل للغذاء، وجذوعها وسعفها في البناء، وخوصها وليفها في العديد من الصناعات اليدوية المهمة التي اشتهرت بها المنطقة.

"الإمارات للفضاء" ترسل بذور النخيل إلى محطة الفضاء الدولية خلال الأيام القليلة القادمة

The UAE Space Agency will launch palm tree seeds to the International Space Station (ISS) in the next few days. The first of its kind study aims to discover the effects of the space environment on seeds and their agriculture potential beyond Earth. The UAE Space Agency is conducting this experiment in cooperation with the College of Food and Agriculture at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and NanoRacks.

The seeds will be launched from Cape Canaveral on a Falcon 9 Rocket, which will carry SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft, making it the 18th mission of SpaceX to the ISS.

Emirates Post, UAE's leading postal and express provider, shipped the seeds to the site and NanoRacks coordinated the launch of the seeds within the framework of the Space Act Agreement (SAA) with NASA. NanoRacks will be responsible for overseeing safety procedures, data registry and conducting the experiment on the ISS.

The study will focus on the seeds' behavior and their water absorption in zero gravity. They will be returned to Earth after extensive experimentation. The seeds will then be planted on Earth to enable further research, analysis, and experimentation, with a special focus on the potential changes they experienced due to their space journey.

This experiment forms a part of the Palm in Space project that explores the potential of planting palm trees on Mars. Palm tree seeds will be sent for experimentation on the ISS, and later could be sent to Mars for planting. The UAE Space Agency decided to experiment on palm tree seeds due to Sheikh Zayed's passion for planting palm trees, along with the agency's efforts to advance scientific research on palm trees with aim of positioning the UAE as one of the top countries worldwide in this area.

The project supports international efforts to achieve food security on Earth and in space. It represents the UAE's continued contribution to developing solutions to the agriculture, food, water and oxygen challenges presented by space colonization. These studies also tackle some of the agriculture challenges that we face on Earth, especially in countries with harsh weather conditions and water scarcity, such as the UAE.

Commenting on the new experiment, **Dr Khaled Al Hashmi, Director of Space Missions at UAE Space Agency** said: "The rapid development of our national space industry allows us to launch some of the most complex projects in the field. This project is a testimony of the UAE's key role in space research. This project also falls within the framework of the UAE Space Agency's strategic objectives for supporting space research in the UAE, and its efforts to promote regional and international partnerships."

Commenting on the initiative, **HE Abdulla M. Alashram, Acting Group CEO of Emirates Post Group**, said: "The UAE is once again demonstrating its strong position within the space industry and we are proud to collaborate with the UAE Space Agency on this ambitious experiment, particularly when it involves palm trees which symbolize our culture and heritage. This initiative is aligned with our commitment to support the nation's pursuit of innovation and excellence and we look forward to seeing the results."

Speaking about his brainchild, **Rashid Al Zaabi, Project Supervisor** said: "This project is in line with the UAE's ambitious initiatives in the space sector, which include Mars 2117 and Mars Scientific City, which aims to simulate life on Mars and explore sustainable solutions for sourcing food and water."

Al Zaabi added: "We are experimenting on palm seeds as they are usually planted in circumstances similar to the Martian environment. Palm trees are deeply rooted in the UAE's heritage, and are the oldest trees in the region. Should this experiment succeed, palm trees and the UAE name will be linked to great success in the space sector."

Palm trees played a pivotal role in the pre-oil era. They are among the very few trees that have all their parts and products utilized for the benefit of humanity. In addition to the great nutritious value of dates, palm trees' trunks and fronds, and fibers are used for handicrafts too.

 UAE Space Agency to launch Palm Seeds to the ISS in the next few days

في إطار سعي المركز لإشراك كافة فئات المجتمع في مبادراته وبرامجه ومنها برنامج الإمارات لرواد الفضاء، أطلق مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، بالتعاون مع بريد الإمارات، مسابقة "أرسل إلى الفضاء"، والتي تهدف إلى المشاركة بأشعار أوقصص أو رسومات سيصطحب أفضلها رائد الفضاء هزاع المنصوري معه، في مَهمة الانطلاق إلى محطة الفضاء الدولية، في 25 سبتمبر المقبل، وسيتم عرضها على متن المحطة.

وأوضح مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، أن "المسابقة مفتوحة لجميع الأعمار والجنسيات، وكافة فئات المجتمع، حيث سيتم قبول المشاركات حتى موعد أقصاه السبت 27 يوليو الجاري"، مضيفا أنه "سيتم اختيار الأفضل من كل فئة: الشعر والقصص والرسم".

ويشترط للمشاركة في مسابقة "أرسل إلى الفضاء"، أن تكون المشاركة متعلقة بمجال الفضاء، وألا تتجاوز القصيدة 20 بيتاً، والقصة لا تتجاوز الألف كلمة باللغة العربية أو الإنجليزية، وأن تكون الرسمة على ورقة A4 أي بحجم 21x29.7 cm،وأن تكون المشاركة جديدة ولم يسبق الاشتراك بها في أي مسابقات أخرى.

ودعا مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، الراغبين بالمشاركة في المسابقة لإرسال مشاركاتهم إلى: "ص.ب. 250919، دبي- الامارات العربية المتحدة" والذي يوافق رقمه تاريخ مهمة الانطلاق إلى محطة الفضاء الدولية في 25 سبتمبر 2019، مشددا على ضرورة "كتابة اسم المشارك، ورقم الهاتف، ورقم صندوق البريد، والإمارة على المغلف المرسل". كما فتح المركز المجال للمشاركات من العالم عن طريق البريد الالكتروني competitions@mbrsc.ae.

وسيقوم بريد الإمارات، باستقبال وفرز المشاركات الورقية وترشيح أفضل الأعمال وإرسالها إلى مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء؛ حيث سيعمل على مراجعتها واختيار المشاركات التي سيصطحبها هزاع المنصوري أول رائد فضاء إماراتي عربي إلى محطة الفضاء الدولية، خلال رحلته، ومن ثم سيعرضها أثناء وجوده داخل محطة الفضاء.

وقال سعادة يوسف حمد الشيباني، مدير عام مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، "تهدف المبادرة إلى إشراك جميع أطياف المجتمع في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ومن المنطقة العربية والعالم بمشاريع المركز وتحديداً في برنامج الإمارات لرواد الفضاء، خاصة أنها فرصة كبيرة جداً لأصحاب القدرات الابداعية أن يرسلوا لوحاتهم الفنية، أو قصصهم أو أشعارهم إلى الفضاء في سابقة تاريخية في الوطن العربي."

وأضاف "الشيباني"، "أن القيادة الرشيدة تعمل دائما على دعم المبدعين والموهوبين بجميع الإمكانات والمقومات اللازمة لتطوير الابتكار والإبداع لديهم، إضافة إلى توفير بيئة محفزة تفتح لهم نوافذ جديدة على مختلف القطاعات، نأمل أن تكون هذه المسابقة منارة إلهام لأجيال طموحة ومبدعة تؤمن أن حدود ابداعاتها لا يحدّها كوكب الأرض."

وأكد "الشيباني"، أن "كل المبادرات التي أطلقها مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، وشملت مختلف فئات المجتمع بالإمارات، خلال الفترات الماضية، شهدت مشاركات واسعة، أبدى- خلالها- الجميع حماسهم وفخرهم للمشاركة وتوقّع أن تحظى هذه المسابقة بإقبال كبير كونها متاحة للمشاركات من الوطن العربي ومن العالم".

ومن جانبه، ثمّن سعادة عبد الله محمد الأشرم الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات بالوكالة، مبادرة مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، وأهدافها الرامية إلى تحفيز الأجيال المقبلة على الاهتمام بالفضاء وعلومه، مؤكداً سعادته على حرص بريد الإمارات على دعم كافة المبادرات الوطنية القادرة على تعزيز مفاهيم الابتكار والإبداع في المجتمع وبما يسهم في خلق البيئة المواتية لإنشاء جيل مبتكر قادر على استشراف المستقبل ومواكبة المتغيرات، وبما يتماشى مع الرؤية الثاقبة لقيادتنا الرشيدة، واستراتيجية بريد الإمارات التي تستهدف تعزيز الابتكار والتحول الرقمي والتقدم التكنولوجي في دولة الإمارات.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), in cooperation with Emirates Post, launched a 'Send to Space' competition. The competition calls for sharing poems, short stories, and drawings to accompany Hazzaa AlMansoori on his mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on 25 September, to be broadcasted on-board. This comes within the framework of MBRSC's efforts to involve community members in its initiatives and programmes, including the UAE Astronaut Programme.

MBRSC highlighted that the competition is open to all ages, nationalities, and people of determination. Participations will be accepted until Saturday, 27 July 2019, and the best submission will be selected from each category: poems, stories, drawings.

To participate in the 'Send to Space' competition, the submission must be space-related. The poem should not exceed 20 verses and the short story should not exceed 1000 words in Arabic or English. As for the drawing, it should be submitted on A4 size (21x29.7cm). The submission should be new and never submitted in other competitions.

MBRSC called on those wishing to participate to send their submissions to PO Box 250919, Dubai - UAE, which takes its number from the date of the mission: 25 September 2019, and stressed the need to write the participant's name, telephone number, PO Box number, and emirate, on the envelop. The Centre has made it possible to participations from all around the world through the email address: [competitions@mbrsc.ae](mailto:competitions@mbrsc.ae).

Emirates Post will receive and sort the entries and nominate the best works and send them to MBRSC. MBRSC will then review and select the entries that AlMansoori, the first Arab and Emirati astronaut, will take to the ISS during his mission.

**His Excellency Yousuf Hamad AlShaibani, Director General of MBRSC**, said, "The initiative aims to involve all segments of society in the UAE, the region and beyond with MBRSC's projects, especially the UAE Astronaut Programme, as it is a great opportunity for creative people to send their drawings, stories or poems to space, in a historical precedent in the Arab world".

"Our wise leadership constantly works to support the young generations with all the potentials and resources needed to develop their innovation and creativity, as well as provide a stimulating environment that opens up new opportunities in different sectors. We hope that this competition will be a beacon of inspiration for ambitious and creative generations that believe that their creativity can reach beyond Earth," added AlShaibani.

AlShaibani stressed that MBRSC's initiatives included various segments of society in the UAE and witnessed huge participation, where participants expressed their enthusiasm and pride for participating. AlShaibani highlighted that this competition is expected to receive a large scale engagement especially that it's open for the whole world.

ويعتبر القمر الاصطناعي "خليفة سات"، هو أول قمر اصطناعي عربي تم تصنيعه بالكامل بعقول وسواعد إماراتية، وطُوّر داخل الغرف النظيفة في مختبرات تقنيات الفضاء في مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء، وهو من بين أكثر الأقمار الاصطناعية تطوراً في فئته، ومخصص لأغراض مراقبة ورصد الأرض، ويعتبر أيقونة تقنية متطورة للغاية؛ حيث يمتلك 5 براءات اختراع.

Emirates Post, in cooperation with [Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre](https://mbrsc.ae/en) (MBRSC), celebrates KhalifaSat Satellite with a commemorative stamp, which showcases the image of the satellite's launch into outer space over the UAE. KhalifaSat is the first-ever Arab satellite engineered from scratch by a 100% Emirati engineering team, marking one of the greatest milestones for the UAE.

KhalifaSat was fully developed and built at one of the most technologically advanced laboratories of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, created to monitor environmental purposes and urban management. It is considered to be one of the most sophisticated satellites to orbit the planet receiving five technological patents.

Fully manufactured in The United Arab Emirates with groundbreaking technologies, the satellite bears the name of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, carrying the vision of this country's leadership to the skies and beyond.

Commenting on the special issuance, **HE Abdulla M. Alashram,** **Acting Group CEO of Emirates Post Group**, said: "KhalifaSat showcases the boundless talent of the United Arab Emirates and the dedication and passion demonstrated by these young Emiratis is an inspiration to the upcoming generations. أكد معالي ناصر بن ثاني الهاملي وزير الموارد البشرية والتوطين رئيس مجمع كليات التقنية العليا، أهمية الشراكة الفاعلة بين قطاع التعليم وقطاعات العمل المختلفة لما يساهم في إعداد كفاءات وطنية وفق تطلعات سوق العمل وبما يواكب التطورات والمتغيرات الحادثة فيه، مشيراً الى أهمية القطاع الخاص الذي يمثل شريكاً استراتيجياً في رسم سياسات التوطين ودعم المبادرات التي تعزز فرص تدريب وتوظيف المواطنين في هذا القطاع الهام.

جاء ذلك بمناسبة إعلان كليات التقنية العليا إطلاق الأكاديميات المهنية المتخصصة بشراكة ثلاثية بين الكليات وعدد من شركات القطاع الخاص، ووزارة الموارد البشرية والتوطين كشريك رئيسي وداعم لهذه الأكاديميات التي تهدف لتوفير الكفاءات الوطنية المطلوبة لسوق العمل في القطاعين العام والخاص، بما يدعم استراتيجية التوطين.

حيث وقع سعادة الدكتور عبد اللطيف الشامسي مدير مجمع كليات التقنية العليا، اتفاقيات تعاون مع مجموعة بريد الإمارات و16 شركة من كبرى شركات القطاع الخاص التي ستتعاون مع الكليات في إطلاق أكاديميتي "العمليات اللوجستية" و "قطاع التجزئة"، بحضور سعادة منى وليد القائم بأعمال وكيل وزارة الموارد البشرية والتوطين لشؤون التوطين وممثلي شركات القطاع الخاص وفريق عمل كليات التقنية المشرف على الأكاديميات.

وأضاف معالي ناصر بن ثاني الهاملي أن تأسيس الأكاديميات المهنية جاء تنفيذاً لتوجيهات القيادة الحكيمة مع إطلاق صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي -رعاه الله-، "النهج الجديد" لكليات التقنية العليا والذي تضمن توجيهات سموه بتأسيس أكاديميات مهنية متخصصة تدعم الموظفين الراغبين في تعديل مساراتهم الوظيفية بما يرفد قطاعات الحيوية بالدولة بالكفاءات التي تتمتع بمهارات المستقبل، كما يتماشى مع استراتيجية التشغيل الوطنية 2031 التي تهدف لرفد سوق العمل بالكوادر المؤهلة والتي تكون على دراية بآخر المستجدات التكنولوجية والمهارات المطلوبة، وبما يدعم رفع نسبة التوطين في القوى العاملة و تعزيز برامج التعلم مدى الحياة.

وأوضح معاليه أن الهدف من هذا التعاون هو دعم تأهيل الكفاءات الوطنية للتعامل مع متغيرات سوق العمل، مؤكداً دعم الوزارة لإنجاح هذه الشراكة، القائمة على أساس "التعليم التطبيقي" الذي ستقدمه كليات التقنية العليا من خلال الأكاديميات المهنية، وسيكون "القطاع الخاص" القوة الداعمة التي ستساهم في توجيه الأكاديميات المهنية نحو نجاح أهدافها من خلال خبراتهم بواقع سوق العمل ومستجداته المهارية والوظيفية.

هذا ويهدف التعاون مع مؤسسات القطاع الخاص الى الاستفادة منهم كبيوت خبرة على دراية دائمة بمتغيرات ومستجدات سوق العمل ومتطلباته من التخصصات والمعارف والمهارات الوظيفية، وبالتالي سيقدمون استشاراتهم للكليات بما يدعم تطوير المعرفة والتدريب للطلبة المواطنين الدارسين ضمن الأكاديميات، وترشيح موظفيهم للدراسة في الأكاديميات ضمن الشروط والآليات المعتمدة، بالإضافة لدعم التعليم المدمج المرتبط بواقع سوق العمل، والتعاون مع الشركاء الحاليين للكليات، وكذلك دعم توفير ورش عمل ومتحدثين مختصين في المجالات التي تستهدفها الأكاديميات.

In a milestone event for the United Arab Emirates, the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) has announced the inauguration of specialized Sector Skills Academies (SSA) in a triangular partnership with 16 private corporations and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

The companies engaged in this initiative included DP World, Landmark, Dnata Group, Dubai Free Zone, DHL, Emirates Post Group, UPS, Dubai Design District, Azadea Group, Challhoub Group, Lals Group, Al Tayer Group, Apparel, Giordano, GMG and Siddiqi Holdings.

As part of the collaboration between the UAE's academic and industry sectors (particularly private sector), the parties will identify and enhance current and future jobs' knowledge, skills and competencies, culminating in the HCT launching a Logistics Academy and a Retail Academy in September 2019. The Sector Skills Academies will support graduates and mid-career professionals by providing them with the necessary business management, entrepreneurial and technology-related skills to operate in the globalized economy.

Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi, HCT President & CEO, signed cooperation agreements with the 16 leading private sector companies, in the presence of H.E. Mona Walid, the Deputy Undersecretary of Emiratization at MOHRE, as well as representatives from HCT and the 16 companies.

H.E. Nasser bin Thani Juma Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and HCT Chancellor, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the education sector and various labor sectors, in preparing a national, trained workforce to meet the needs of the labor market, and which is aligned to national developments. He reiterated the importance of the private sector, as a strategic partner, in developing Emiratisation policies and supporting initiatives promoting training and recruitment opportunities for Emiratis in vital sectors.

The Minister said the establishment of the Academies is in accordance with the directives of the UAE leadership and coincides with the launch by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, of the HCT 4.0 strategy, which includes directives about the Academies, which will support employees who wish to change their career paths to UAE's critical sectors, thus empowering the workforce with future skills.

**Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, HCT President & CEO** noted that the course programs to be offered at the Academies have been designed in cooperation with Southern Alberta Technology Institute (SAIT) in Canada, which has global experiences in the professional education field. " _The HCT leverages the launch of these academies, in partnership with the private companies, to support work environment-integrated education that achieves integration between the academic provision of knowledge and its applied skill, and the practical side related to refining the learner's skills through hands-on training and facing challenges,_" Dr Al Shamsi said.

**Speaking at the signing, Obaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Acting Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Post Group,** said: _"We are proud to collaborate with the Higher Colleges of Technology and this signing supports our government's directives in preparing a qualified national workforce for the retail and logistics sectors. At Emirates Post, we believe it is imperative to invest in education to produce a skilled national workforce for the future and, the introduction of the Higher Colleges of Technology's Sector Skills Academies will ensure that today's job seekers are equipped to succeed in the workplace."_

He added, " _We look forward to_ _sharing our knowledge and expertise of the postal and logistics business with the students and to bringing graduates of the programme into our workforce. Given the evolution and expansion of e-commerce in the Emirates, we encourage our nation's youth to take advantage of the opportunities that this new qualification affords."_

The first intake of Academy students will consist of 20 in each of the Logistics Academy and Retail Academy. HCT plans to open more academies in different industry sectors, in the coming years. As part of the cooperation agreements, the 16 private sector partners will provide HCT with consultation services, in order to develop knowledge and training for UAE Nationals enrolled at the academies, as well as leveraging labour market-integrated learning practices. They will also collaborate with the HCT and its partners by hosting workshops and speakers, specialized in the fields offered at the academies.

وأضاف لقد حقق نظام النقل العام في هيئة الطرق والمواصلات مستويات عالية من النجاح بفضل نظام متكامل، مما شجع المزيد من الناس في دبي من استخدام وسائل النقل العام هذا يعد إنجازاً كبيراً لهيئة الطرق والمواصلات في دبي.

مجموعة بريد الإمارات توفر عبر مكاتب بريد الإمارات المنتشرة في كل الدولة خدمات هيئة الطرق والمواصلات المتعددة لجمهور متعاملي بريد الإمارات منها خدمات دفع مخالفات مواقف دبي حيث تتوفر خدمة دفع المخالفات في أي من مكاتب البريد في الدولة من خلال ربط إلكتروني مباشر وخدمة بيع بطاقات تعبئة رصيد سالك يأتي ذلك في إطار الشراكة الاستراتيجية مع هيئة الطرق والمواصلات في دبي.

As part of a strategic partnership with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Emirates Post Group is providing various RTA services to customers through all post offices in the country, including purchasing parking cards, payment of RTA traffic fines through a direct electronic link, and sale of Nol cards (only in Dubai post offices) which enable commuters to use multi-modal transport of RTA.

Emirates Post Group also offers Dubai parking cards at all outlets in denominations of AED 30, AED 50 and AED 100.

Acting Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Post Group, Obaid M. Al Qatami, said: "We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with the Roads and Transport Authority by offering customers RTA's multiple services and products through our post offices. We are also very happy to support the shift toward public transport by offering Nol Cards to customers through our extensive postal network."

He hailed the success of RTA's integrated public transport system that has encouraged more and more people in Dubai to use public transport, which is a great achievement for the RTA, he added.
