ولا يُعدّ تصاعد عمليات الاحتيال هذه مجرّد مسألة مصادفة؛ بل يمثل تحدياً متعدد الأوجه متجذراً بعمق في نسيج العصر الرقمي. ويُجسّد هذا الواقع حقيقة لا يُمكن إنكارها وهي أن أنماط حياتنا التي تعتمد بشكل متزايد على التكنولوجيا الرقمية أفسحت المجال، عن غير قصد، لهؤلاء المحتالين. ويُتيح العالم الرقمي لهؤلاء المحتالين إمكانية إخفاء هويتهم، ما يُمكّنهم من تنفيذ مخططاتهم خلف عباءة السريّة. ويُواكب المحتالون التقدم غير المسبوق للتكنولوجيا، فتغدو أساليبهم أكثر تعقيداً، ما يُصعّب على الأفراد اليقظين التمييز بين أشكال التواصل الحقيقية والاحتيالية.

ومع ذلك، هناك جانب آخر لهذه الرواية يؤكد التحدي الذي نواجهه أمام نمط الحياة السريع الذي يفرضه واقعنا المعاصر. فمثلاً تُعرِّضنا القرارات السريعة التي غالباً ما تكون مدفوعة بمتطلّبات نمط حياتنا اليومي، دون قصد للمخاطر التي يستغلها هؤلاء المحتالون. قد يُغشي القلق من احتمالية تفويت استلام شحنات مهمة بصيرتنا ويؤثّر على حُكمنا، ما يدفعنا إلى النقر على روابط مشبوهة دون أن نتوقف لحظةً للتأكد من مصداقية الرسائل التي نتلقاها. ولذلك، يُعدّ التصيّد الاحتيالي أحد أكثر أساليب الخداع الرقمي دهاءً، وهو أسلوب يستخدمه المجرمون السيبرانييون لانتحال صفة مؤسسات أو أفراد شرعيين لسرقة بياناتٍ حساسة، مثل بيانات تسجيل الدخول أو المعلومات المالية.

وأبلغ سكان دولة الإمارات عن نوع شائع آخر من عمليات الاحتيال يتضمن رسائل نصية ورسائل بريد إلكتروني خادعة يدّعي مرسلوها زوراً أنها صادرة من إحدى شركاتنا "بريد الإمارات". وتطلب هذه الرسائل عناوين الشحن وتُطالب بالدفع لإكمال عمليات التوصيل. وغالباً ما يتم استهداف بريد الإمارات، الذي يُعد جهةً رئيسية فاعلة في مجال الخدمات اللوجستية في دولة الإمارات، بشبكة واسعة، ويدير أعداداً كبيرة من الشحنات شهرياً ويخدم ملايين المتعاملين سنوياً. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يتمتّع بريد الإمارات بحضور قوي في قطاع التجارة الإلكترونية، كما يُشرف على أسطول كبير مسؤولي التوصيل والمركبات، ما يؤكد على أهميتها ونطاق وصولها الواسع في دولة الإمارات. وعليه، تُعد المجموعة هدفاً جذاباً للمحتالين الذين يسعون إلى استغلال سمعتها الطيبة.

وفي الوقت ذاته، تلتزم مجموعة بريد الإمارات بمكافحة الاحتيال من خلال تنفيذ إجراءات أمنية قوية والعمل بشكل وثيق مع السلطات المعنية لتحديد المسؤولين عن هذه الأنشطة الاحتيالية وتقديمهم للعدالة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تمّ توقيع عدد من الشراكات الدولية لملاحقة هؤلاء المجرمين، خاصة عندما ينشطون خارج حدود دولة الإمارات. ونؤكد في مجموعة بريد الإمارات على أهمية أخذ الحيطة والحذر عند تلقّي رسائل احتيالية تدعي أنها تمثل مجموعة بريد الإمارات أو أي من الشركات الفرعية التابعة لها. من الضروري إدراك أنّ المجموعة تمضي في التحويل تدريجياً من استخدام الرسائل القصيرة (SMS)، إلى استخدام حسابها الموثق على "واتساب" للتواصل مع المتعاملين. أمّا بالنسبة للمدفوعات ولضمان إجراء معاملات آمنة، نوفّر بوابة دفع موثوقة ومتاحة حصرياً عبر مواقعنا الإلكترونية وتطبيقاتنا الرسمية. ويتجلى التزامنا بالأمن من خلال أنظمة الأمان المتقدمة، والمبادرات المستمرة لتثقيف الجمهور وتشجيع ممارسات الدفع الآمنة، واستجابتنا السريعة لاستفسارات المتعاملين فيما يتعلق بمصداقية الاتصالات.

ويمكن أن تكون عواقب الوقوع ضحية لعمليات الاحتيال هذه مدمرةً للغاية. وبالإضافة إلى الخسائر المالية، قد يتعرض الأفراد لسرقة الهوية، ما يؤدي إلى سلسلة من التعقيدات القانونية والشخصية. وعلى صعيد الشركات، يُمكن لهجوم التصيد الاحتيالي الناجح أن يعطل عملياتها، ويشوه سمعتها، ويعرض بيانات المتعاملين الحساسة للخطر، ما قد يؤدي إلى عواقب قانونية وفقدان الثقة.

وعلاوة على ذلك، فإن التفاعل المعقد بين الأنظمة المالية العالمية وسهولة إجراء المعاملات عبر الحدود قد زود المحتالين بقوة إضافية، مما سمح لهم بالعمل خارج نطاق الولاية القضائية لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. ويؤكد هذا الواقع الواضح على أهمية التعاون القوي، ليس فقط بين شركات البريد وشركات التوصيل مثل بريد الإمارات، ولكن أيضاً على صعيد وطني ودولي أوسع، لتوحيد الجهود في مواجهة هذه الأنشطة الضارة ومكافحتها.

Yet, there is another dimension to this story, one that exposes our vulnerability in the face of modern life's relentless pace. Quick decisions, often necessitated by the demands of our daily routines, inadvertently expose us to the very risks these scammers exploit. The fear of missing out on important deliveries can cloud our judgment, leading us to click on suspicious links without pausing to scrutinize the authenticity of the messages we receive. Therefore, one of the most insidious forms of digital deception is phishing, a method that cybercriminals employ to masquerade as legitimate organizations or individuals to steal sensitive data, such as login credentials or financial information. 

Other prevalent scams reported by residents are deceptive text messages and emails claiming to be from our postal operator Emirates Post, soliciting shipping addresses and requesting payment for completing the delivery. As a key player in the UAE's logistics sector, Emirates Post boasts an extensive network, handling a huge volume of shipments each month and serving millions of customers annually. Additionally, it maintains a strong presence in the eCommerce sector with substantial monthly shipments operating a sizable fleet of couriers and vehicles. This highlights its prominence and reach within the UAE, making it a target for scammers seeking to exploit its trusted name.


In counteracting the challenges that arise from digital transformation, the UAE has taken significant steps to strengthen its cybersecurity position in the context of the Artificial Intelligence-driven digital economy and the widespread adoption of remote work applications. It has established the UAE Cyber Security Council, Federal Authority for Identity Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, the National Electronic Security Authority (NESA), and has implemented stringent cybersecurity laws and regulations, including Personal Data Protection Law. The country is also building a proficient cybersecurity workforce through education and certifications while engaging in international cybersecurity forums to align with global best practices.

Navigating the Digital Frontier: Safeguarding Against Scams in the eCommerce Era

        تمثِّل استضافة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة للنسخة الـ 28 من مؤتمر اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ COP28 هذا العام فرصةً هامةً لإبراز التزام الدولة بمبادئ الحماية البيئية والنمو المستدام للأعمال، حيث سيجمع هذا المؤتمر الدولي البارز القادة من جميع أنحاء العالم، بما فيهم 80 ألف مندوب رسمي و140 رئيس دولة وأكثر من 5 آلاف إعلامي، للبحث في قضية التغير المناخي وأهمية حشد الجهود لبناء مستقبل مستدام. كما يساهم هذا الحدث في ترسيخ مكانة دولة الإمارات كمركزٍ للنمو الاقتصادي المستدام، والتأكيد على ضرورة اتباع الممارسات الصديقة للبيئة في جميع القطاعات، بما في ذلك التصنيع والسياحة والخدمات اللوجستية.

Prioritising the implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices such as ensuring the buildings and warehouses we operate from are sustainably run with improved energy efficiency, the vehicles we operate are using alternative fuels and optimized transportation routes, and using sustainable packaging solutions, can help mitigate the environmental impact. Ensuring business partners also operate in a sustainable manner helps to create an environmentally conscious business community or model.

As rising concerns for sustainability reshape the logistics sector, companies are compelled to consider the environmental implications of their operations. This necessitates investing in technology and implementing a comprehensive digital transformation strategy to mitigate the environmental footprint through cleaner transportation, lower costs, and streamlined operations. Failure to adopt greener practices and adapt to new ways or working, exposes companies to long-term risks in business growth. 

To significantly reduce the environmental impact of logistics, emerging digital technologies offer various avenues for improvement. As industry leaders, we must carefully select technologies that align with our business needs and develop robust digitization strategies. Integrating electric vehicles will enable the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and dependency on fossil fuels. Additionally, embracing renewable energy sources through harnessing the power of solar, wind, or other sustainable energy alternatives to power operations, further minimizes one's carbon footprint.

        أصبحت التكنولوجيا جزءاً لا يتجزأ من حياتنا اليومية، كما أنها أحدثت تحولات كبيرة في مُختلف القطاعات خلال العقد الماضي وعلى سبيل المثال، الخدمات المالية. بناء على ذلك، تزايد حرص الشركات على الجمع بين الخدمات المالية والابتكار التكنولوجي، لتعزيز تجربة المتعاملين، وزيادة سلاسة العديد من الخدمات، مثل سداد المدفوعات وإدارة ثروات الأفراد وإرسال واستلام الأموال.

شكلت جائحة "كوفيد-19" نقطة تحول بالنسبة لقطاع التكنولوجيا المالية، حيث سارعت الشركات إلى توفير الحلول للمتعاملين لتمكينهم من الاستفادة من الخدمات المالية الرئيسية بأمان من منازلهم. تمكنت بعض القطاعات من العودة إلى وضعها وأدائها ما قبل "كوفيد-19"، في حين واصلت التكنولوجيا المالية تطورها مستعينةً بالابتكارات الذكية.  
بدأت رحلتنا في "مجموعة بريد الإمارات" منذ حوالي 20 عاماً، وأدركنا خلال هذه السنوات إمكانيات قطاع الخدمات المالية. كما استثمرنا في عام 2005 في "وول ستريت للصرافة"، وهي شركة صرافة مرخصة في دولة الإمارات، وقمنا بالاستحواذ على الشركة بالكامل إلى جانب "انستانت كاش"، شركة تحويل الأموال الدولية، في العام 2012. وبحلول العام 2021. رسخت التكنولوجيا المالية حضورها عبر إحداث تحولاتٍ جذرية في الخدمات المالية التي أدت إلى تغيراتٍ واسعة على صعيد تجربة المتعاملين وتوقعاتهم لتتيح فرصاً كبيرة لتطوير نماذج أعمال جديدة وتقديم خدمات مبتكرة. 
أنشأت مجموعة بريد الإمارات ذراعها للتكنولوجيا المالية "فينتكس" (FINTX)، وأطلقتها رسمياً في معرض "جيتكس غلوبال 2022".  تقود الشركة الجديدة التحول في جميع شركات الخدمات المالية القائمة، وتتطلع لإنشاء مشاريع جديدة والاستثمار فيها. رؤية "فينتكس" تتمثل حول إنشاء منظومة للتكنولوجيا المالية في دولة الإمارات وخارجها، وتغطية مجموعة واسعة من الخدمات المالية المخصصة للشركات والأفراد لتستطيع تلبية مُختلف متطلبات المستهلكين.

وتهدف الشراكة الجديدة بين "بريد الإمارات" و"مختبرات دانتي للأبحاث الطبية والجينية"، المختبرات الرائدة عالمياً في علم الجينات والطب الدقيق، إلى تسهيل توفير خدمات الجينات المتقدمة في جميع أنحاء الإمارات. وقد أُبرِمت هذه الشراكة عقب إطلاق عمليات مكتب "مختبرات دانتي" في الإمارات، وجاءت تماشياً مع الرؤية الوطنية الرامية إلى إتاحة الخدمات الطبية والصحية المتميزة لجميع سكان الدولة. 

ويتولى "بريد الإمارات" بموجب هذه الاتفاقية خدمات استلام وتوصيل معدات اختبار الجينات من "مختبرات دانتي" إلى المتعاملين في جميع أنحاء الدولة، إلى جانب تخصيص عدد من مراكز إسعاد المتعاملين لدى "بريد الإمارات" كنقاط بيع وتسليم لمعدات الاختبار. وتبرز أهمية الاختبارات الجينية في قدرتها على رصد التغيرات في الجينات البشرية التي يمكن أن تسبب الأمراض المختلفة، لذا فإن جمع معلومات دقيقة ومخصصة من خلال هذه الاختبارات يساهم في تعزيز صحة وسلامة أفراد المجتمع.

ويحرص "بريد الإمارات" على تأمين الحلول اللوجستية المستدامة لشركائه، وتوفير الخدمات عالية الجودة والموثوقية لمتعامليه في جميع أنحاء دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
