ويتولى "بريد الإمارات" بموجب هذه الاتفاقية خدمات استلام وتوصيل معدات اختبار الجينات من "مختبرات دانتي" إلى المتعاملين في جميع أنحاء الدولة، إلى جانب تخصيص عدد من مراكز إسعاد المتعاملين لدى "بريد الإمارات" كنقاط بيع وتسليم لمعدات الاختبار. وتبرز أهمية الاختبارات الجينية في قدرتها على رصد التغيرات في الجينات البشرية التي يمكن أن تسبب الأمراض المختلفة، لذا فإن جمع معلومات دقيقة ومخصصة من خلال هذه الاختبارات يساهم في تعزيز صحة وسلامة أفراد المجتمع.

وحرصاً منا على مواكبة التطور التكنولوجي المتسارع، أصدرنا في "مجموعة بريد الإمارات" 4 طوابع مبتكرة استناداً إلى تقنية "الرموز غير القابلة للاستبدال" (NFT)، في إنجازٍ نوعي هو الأول إقليمياً على صعيد تبنّي التقنيات المتطورة في إصدار الطوابع البريدية. وجاءت الخطوة في إطار احتفالاتنا باليوبيل الذهبي الذي يمثل محطة مفصلية في تاريخ الإمارات التي تستعد لخمسين عاماً جديدة من التقدم والنماء، مدعومةً بخطط طموحة لبناء اقتصاد مستقبلي قائم على المعرفة والابتكار والتكنولوجيا المتقدّمة، وفي مقدمتها "البلوك تشين" وحلول الثورة الصناعية الرابعة. 

وتتفرّد طوابعنا المبتكرة باحتوائها على نظائر رقمية مخزنة في نظام "البلوك تشين"، ما يتيح إمكانية جمعها وبيعها وتداولها واستخدامها للتبادل عبر شبكة الإنترنت باعتبارها مقتنيات رقمية مرتبطة بنظيراتها من الطوابع التقليدية. وسيتمكن حاملو الطوابع من رؤية التصميم الرقمي المرتبط بالطابع الفعلي بعد مسح رمز الاستجابة السريعة المطبوع على الجانب الأمامي للبطاقة، حيث تتضمن الطوابع شريحة "إن.إف.سي" (NFC) مشفرة ومقفلة لغرض التحقق باستخدام أي هاتف ذكي مزود بقارئ "إن.إف.سي".

        <p>Strengthening its position as one of the most advanced countries, the UAE has always remained at the forefront of technology adoption and become an early adopter of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT), and so on. As the nation continues to achieve significant milestones in various fields, digital transformation has also gained momentum like never before. Today, the UAE is among the top 20 countries globally in terms of fixed broadband connectivity and the first in the Middle East and Africa region, maintaining its leading position in internet penetration rates in 2021.</p><p>The UAE government has placed great emphasis on promoting investments in modern technology as innovation and creativity underpin the country's ongoing transition into a more sustainable economic model. Technology paves the way for new opportunities, enhancing efficiency and performance across industries. One of these widely used technologies is blockchain which has positively transformed the postal sector. The adoption of blockchain technology in this sector improves the ability to meet the emerging challenges in delivery systems as well as facilitates the seamless integration of e-commerce into postal and logistics services.</p><p>In keeping up with the rapid developments in technology, Emirates Post Group recently issued four innovative stamps based on non-fungible token (NFT) technology, the first of its kind in the region. This new generation of stamps uses blockchain technology and EPG issued them to mark the nation's Golden Jubilee this year. The stamps depict the UAE's historical milestones as well as its preparation for the next 50 years of sustainable development and growth. In line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the tech-based stamps symbolize the country's ambitious plans to build a future economy based on knowledge, innovation, and advanced technology - primarily blockchain.</p><p>Our innovative stamps feature digital twin technology within the blockchain, allowing them to be collected, sold, traded, and used online. The traditional stamp has a digital counterpart, and the stamp holder will be able to see the digital version after scanning the QR Code printed on the card.&nbsp; The card holder will be able to verify the encrypted and locked NFC included in the physical stamp using their smartphone or an NFC reader.&nbsp;</p><p>The issuance of these NFT stamps reflects the success of our tireless efforts to establish a robust technological infrastructure that will further enhance and strengthen postal operations in the UAE.         على مدى السنوات، نجحت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في ترسيخ مكانتها كحاضنةٍ لتلاقي الحضارات، ولعبت دوراً ريادياً في بناء جسور التواصل الثقافي والفكري بين الدول، وقدمت للعالم نموذجاً يُحتذى به في دعم الإبداع الفني وإحياء التراث والاحتفاء بالموروث الثقافي. 
تشكل المعارض والمُلتقيات الثقافية والفكرية قنوات هامة للتواصل الحضاري، والاحتفاء بالتراث الإنساني، وإبراز ملامح حياة المُجتمعات من منظور فني وأدبي واجتماعي، واستكشاف آفاق التعاون بين المؤسسات والدول في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك. كما تتيح هذه الفعاليات للدول الحاضنة تعزيز حضورها ومشاركتها على خارطة الثقافة العالمية، وتأكيد مكانتها كمركزٍ للتبادل المعرفي والتواصل الفكري، وإبراز ما حققته من تقدمٍ وتطور. 
الطوابع التذكارية تكتسب قيمةً ثقافية وتاريخية كبيرة، وتمثل أدواتٍ لتوثيق الصفحات المضيئة في مسيرة النهضة الإنسانية، ورصد الوقائع والأحداث، وتدوين الإنجازات التي تركت بصمتها في تاريخ الأُمم والشعوب على مدى القرون الماضية. ومن هذا المُنطلق، قُمنا مؤخراً في "مجموعة بريد الإمارات" بتنظيم "المعرض الدولي للطوابع - الإمارات 2022"، بالتعاون مع "جمعية الإمارات لهواة الطوابع". ومثَّل هذا الحدث المعرض الدولي الأول للطوابع على مستوى الشرق الأوسط، حيث استقطب 175 عارضاً من 27 دولة من الشرق الأوسط وآسيا وأفريقيا وأوروبا وأمريكا وأوقيانوسيا.    
وعلى مدى خمسة أيام، شكَّل هذا الحدث منصةً للاحتفاء بالطوابع النادرة والإصدارات البريدية التذكارية، وتسليط الضوء على هواية جمع الطوابع واقتناء المسكوكات النادرة ودراسة جذورها التاريخية، وبناء جسور للتواصل والتعاون بين محبي جمع الطوابع والمهتمين بدراستها ومالكي المجموعات النادرة والجهات البريدية وموزعي الطوابع. واحتضن أيضاً العديد من المقتنيات النادرة، من أبرزها مجموعة طوابع أبوظبي، والتي تعود إلى الفترة من 1963 لغاية افتتاح بريد أبوظبي في 1972؛ ومجموعة تاريخ بريد دبي، والتي واكبت مراحل تطور الخدمة البريدية في الإمارة خلال الفترة من 1909 إلى 1948؛ ومجموعة طوابع مكتب بريد سلطنة عمان (1830 - 1948)؛ إلى جانب عددٍ من المعروضات العالمية ذات قيمة تاريخية كبيرة. وأقيمت على هامش المعرض مسابقةٌ تنافس خلالها العارضون، وتمَّ تكريم أفضل المجموعات بناءً على تقييم لجنةٍ من الخبراء والمختصين. كما أتاح المعرض الدولي للطوابع منبراً للتواصل المعرفي والفكري، حيث شهد إقامة سلسلة من الندوات الحوارية والجلسات التوعوية، تحدَّث خلالها خبراء وباحثون عن أهمية الطوابع ودورها في مواكبة الحضارة الإنسانية، وقدرتها على نقل صورة لحياة المجتمعات خلال حِقَب زمنية مختلفة.   
ونجح هذا الملتقى العالمي بتحقيق رسالته الرئيسية في تسليط الضوء على قيمة الطوابع والمجموعات البريدية التذكارية، وإبراز دورها في توثيق الإنجازات التي رسمت ملامح الحضارة وحفظها في الذاكرة الإنسانية، وعرض مراحل تطور المنظومة البريدية محلياً وإقليمياً وعالمياً. وأبرز هذا الحدث أهمية هواية جمع الطوابع ودورها في تنمية الثقافة والمعرفة والتشجيع على دراسة تاريخ الدول.   
في "مجموعة بريد الإمارات" نفخر بالأصداء الإيجابية التي حققتها الدورة الأولى من المعرض الدولي للطوابع، ونعتز بأنَّ هذا الحدث ترك بصمته في المشهد الثقافي، وساهم في ترسيخ مكانة الإمارات كمركزٍ عالمي لتواصل الحضارات والثقافات، بالتزامن مع "إكسبو 2020 دبي" حيث يلتقي العالم على أرض الإمارات.     
مما لا شكَّ فيه أن "المعرض الدولي للطوابع - الإمارات 2022" شكَّل سابقةً على مستوى منظومة العمل البريدي إقليمياً، وفتح آفاقاً جديدة لثقافة اقتناء الطوابع، فاسحاً المجال أمام إقامة المزيد من فعاليات ومُلتقيات التواصل الفكري والثقافي المُستَلهَمة من نجاح هذا الحدث والتجربة الرائدة لدولة الإمارات في تشجيع تلاقي الحضارات.

        Over the years, the UAE has succeeded in establishing its position as an incubator of culture and has played a vital role in building bridges of cultural intelligence between countries. The nation has become a model for fostering artistic innovation, reviving tradition, and celebrating cultural heritage. 
Cultural forums and intellectual exhibitions constitute important channels for establishing social connections and celebrating heritage. They underline the social, literary, and artistic interests of communities and create opportunities for collaboration between institutions and countries of mutual interests.  Such events also enhance countries' presence on the global cultural map, playing the role as a hub for intellectual and knowledge exchange. It also highlights their progress and evolution as a nation over time, as well as their achievements in promoting development. 
Commemorative stamps have significant historical and cultural value as they document a nation's important milestones in human evolution and highlight major achievements throughout the years. With this in mind, and in recognizing the importance of nurturing and strengthening the culture of philately, Emirates Post Group (EPG) recently hosted the "Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition" in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA). 
This first-of-its-kind international philatelic exhibition in the region featured 175 exhibits from 27 countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, America, and Oceania. The five-day-long event successfully created a platform to celebrate unique philatelic exhibits, rare stamp collections, commemorative issuances and emphasized the significance of nurturing and strengthening the collection and study of postage stamps. Moreover, the event also aided in creating networking opportunities among philately enthusiasts, notable stamp collectors, and philatelic dealers. 
A few of the unique exhibits worth mentioning were the Abu Dhabi postage stamp collection dating from 1963 up until the opening of the Abu Dhabi post office in 1972; the collection of stamps that documented the postal history of Dubai from 1909 - 1948; and the collection of Oman postage stamps from 1830 - 1948.  A competition was also organized as part of the exhibition, in which some of the featured exhibits received recognition from an international committee of judges and commissioners. In addition, field experts held insightful philatelic seminars, underlining the significance of philately in culture, civilization, and human life in general. 
One of the major objectives, accomplished with the successful completion of this global exhibition, was to bring the role of commemorative postage stamps in documenting landmarks and historical events to the spotlight. Besides this, commemorative stamps, which also showcase the postal history and evolution of the global postal system, play a vital role in enriching culture, knowledge creation, and encouraging historical explorations. 
We are delighted about the success and popularity gained by the first-of-its-kind philatelic event in the region. We are positive that this exhibition, which was held in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai, has contributed to strengthening the UAE's position as a hub of cultural exchange and celebrated the nation's rich heritage and cultural richness. 
The success of the Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition will be instrumental in further enhancing the culture of philately in the UAE and the Middle East and pave the way for more relevant events and intellectual forums.

وبالتزامن مع احتفالنا باليوم الوطني لهذا العام، والذي يصادف اليوبيل الذهبي لتأسيس دولة الإمارات، ويمثل احتفاءً بالإنجازات المتتالية التي حققتها على مدار خمسين عاماً، يواصل القطاع البريدي في الدولة، العمل على تحقيق المزيد من الإنجازات اللوجستية، بالاعتماد على الحلول الذكية، وتطوير آليات الرَقمنة التي تواكب المتغيرات المتسارعة، بهدف بلوغ مستويات جديدة من التميز المؤسسي والكفاءة التشغيلية تماشياً مع رؤية وتوجيهات القيادة الرشيدة، نحو بلوغ حقبةٍ جديدة من النهضة والنمو نرسم من خلالها الآفاق المستقبلية للخمسين القادمة من مسيرة التنمية وترسيخ ريادة الوطن عالمياً. 

ويواصل قطاع البريد في دولة الإمارات مواكبة التقنيات المتطورة وتعزيز الاستثمار في عالم التكنولوجيا والابتكار والإبداع، لإحداث نقلة نوعية في النظام الخدمي البريدي، وتقديم حلول وفق أعلى معايير الجودة المتبعة دولياً، بما يلبي متطلبات المتعاملين وتطلعاتهم، ويؤكد الدور الفاعل لهذا القطاع الحيوي في دعم مسيرة النماء والتقدم خلال المرحلة المقبلة بما يتماشى مع الخطط والاستراتيجيات الحكومية. كما استفاد القطاع البريدي من الابتكارات والتقنيات الحديثة، بهدف تعزيز قدراته التشغيلية ورفع مستويات الكفاءة والجودة في عملياته، وهو اليوم يواصل تبني أفضل المنهجيات العالمية والخطط والأنظمة المتطورة والحلول المُبتكرة، في ظل النمو الكبير الذي يشهده قطاع التجارة الإلكترونية باعتباره أحد أبرز الاتجاهات العالمية الناشئة التي تنعكس إيجاباً على قطاع الخدمات البريدية، من خلال الزيادةً اللافتة في الطلب على الشحن ونقل الطرود والخدمات البريدية واللوجستية مؤخراً.

شراكاتٌ استراتيجية دعماً للطموحات المستقبلية 
تتبنى مجموعة بريد الإمارات رؤيةً تقوم على توفير كافة السبل الضامنة للارتقاء بمنظومة الخدمات البريدية واللوجستية وحلول التوصيل والشحن والتجارة الإلكترونية، وتمثل الشراكات الاستراتيجية إحدى ركائز هذه الرؤية. وفي هذا الإطار، دأبت المجموعة مؤخراً على توسيع نطاق تعاونها مع أبرز المؤسسات الرائدة ضمن هذه القطاعات، حيث أبرمت "مجموعة بريد الإمارات" مذكرة تفاهم مع "الإمارات للشحن الجوي" تستهدف تعزيز مكانة دبي كمركزٍ عالمي للوجستيات والتجارة الإلكترونية، وتطوير منصة لوجستية عالمية للتجارة الإلكترونية من المصدر إلى الوجهة النهائية. 

وتَبرز مذكرة التفاهم بين "بريد الإمارات" و"برايت دروب" كخطوةٍ سباقة في مواكبة الأنماط والاتجاهات المستقبلية، حيث إن التعاون بين الجانين سيتركز على استكشاف آفاق التحول نحو المركبات الكهربائية في العمليات البريدية واللوجستية، ودراسة إمكانية وجدوى تطبيق أحدث المفاهيم والتقنيات على هذا الصعيد، وصولاً إلى منظومة توصيل أكثر كفاءة وأقل إصداراً للانبعاثات الكربونية. وتماشياً مع استراتيجيتها لمواصلة التوسع والنمو وتعزيز تجربة المتعاملين، وقعت المجموعة شراكةً مع "شركة بترول الإمارات الوطنية - اينوك". وتقدم هذه الشراكة الاستراتيجية دفعةً قوية لجهود المجموعة لتعزيز خدمات توصيل الميل الأخير ومواكبة النمو المضطرد لمنصات التجارة الإلكترونية، وإتاحة خياراتٍ أكثر مرونة لمتعاملين "بريد الإمارات" من خلال إتمام عمليات استلام وإرسال الطرود عبر متاجر زووم التابعة لـ "اينوك".

The UAE postal sector aims to increase its investments in technology, innovation, and creativity, to ensure the sector is keeping pace with the fast-evolving digital transformation. Investing in technology enhances the postal service system and provides innovative solutions that conform with the highest international quality standards to meet customer needs and aspirations. Further, it strengthens the role of this vital sector in supporting the country's development and progress in line with government plans and strategies. In addition, technological innovations enhance and raise the level of efficiency in the sector's operations. Today, the sector continues to adopt exemplary global approaches, advanced plans, regulations, and innovative solutions to further boost the growth in the e-commerce sector. The remarkable global growth of e-commerce positively impacted the postal sector due to the high demand for shipping, delivery of packages, and other postal and logistics services.
Strategic partnerships to support future strategies 
Part of Emirates Post Group's (EPG) vision is to support the development of the postal and logistics sector, the enhancement of last-mile delivery solutions, and the growth of e-commerce through strategic partnerships. In line with this goal, the Group recently expanded its collaboration with major companies operating in these sectors and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates SkyCargo to strengthen Dubai's position as a global center for logistics and e-commerce. 
In addition, the Group also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BrightDrop as a proactive step in exploring future proof of concepts and innovations in the deployment of an electrified delivery ecosystem. The partnership will explore opportunities for the use of electric vehicles in postal and logistics operations while studying the capability and application of modern concepts and techniques in this area for a sustainable and more efficient delivery system. 
In line with its strategy to expand its network, offer added convenience, and enhance customer experience, the Group signed a partnership with Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) to strengthen its last-mile delivery services, keep pace with the robust growth of e-commerce platforms, and provide more flexible location options for Emirates Post users. Customers can now opt to pick up and ship packages at ENOC's Zoom stores. 
An influential and growing presence in the global landscape
The UAE is an influential member of the Universal Postal Union and plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of postal and logistics services. The country has gained the confidence of the international postal community, as demonstrated in the 27th Universal Postal Union Congress wherein the UAE won the hosting of the 28th Universal Postal Congress in 2025. Hosting this global postal event will undoubtedly highlight the unique features of local and regional postal and logistics systems and will strengthen UAE's position as an influential force in driving innovation and automation within the postal sector. It will also serve as an opportunity to share the pioneering journey of Emirates Post.

وفي أعقاب انتشار جائحة كوفيد-19، شهدت مجموعة بريد الإمارات تغيراً في طبيعة أعمالها، حيث اعتمد المتعاملون على الطرق الرقمية للوصول للمنتجات والخدمات البريدية، وسط زيادة في الاقبال على خدمات تسليم الميل الأخير، كما أدّى الارتفاع العالمي الحاد في التسوق عبر الإنترنت إلى زيادة الطلب على خدمات التسليم القياسية والسريعة. تميّزت مجموعة بريد الامارات باستجابتها السريعة لكافة المتغيرات التي طرأت خلال العامين الماضيين منذ بدء انتشار أزمة كورونا الصحية حول العالم، حيث واصلت مسيرتها الريادية في تبني أحدث الحلول البريدية للمضي قدماً نحو التحول الرقمي والتعامل مع المستجدات الطارئة بسرعة قياسية وبطريقة متقنة، تعتمد على المرونة التشغيلية للتكيف مع متطلبات المستهلكين وتلبية احتياحاتهم، انطلاقاً من مكانتنا كمزودي خدمة حيوية. وهنا لا بد لنا من الإشارة إلى الدور الأساسي الذي لعبته منهجيتنا الجديدة في مساعدتنا على تقديم عمليات تسليم آمنة وغير تلامسية، بما يحافظ على سلامة العملاء ويتماشى مع الاجراءات الاحترازية والتعليمات الوقائية المتبعة من قبل السلطات الصحية والرسمية المعنية في دولة الإمارات.  

كما أننا التزمنا بشكل واضح في تكثيف عمليات البريد السريع وخدمات الميل الأخير، الأمر الذي ساعدنا في الحفاظ على مكانتنا الريادية بين أفضل مزودي الخدمات البريدية على مستوى العالم، وعزز مسارات عملنا المستحدثة، خاصة وسط تراجع حجم المراسلات التقليدية والتي تشمل الرسائل والوثائق.  

وتشكل التجارة الإلكترونية اليوم، فرصة كبيرة لازدهار ونمو القطاع البريدي على الصعيدين المحلي والعالمي، حيث تزداد عمليات إرسال الطرود حول العالم، وسط انخفاض في متوسط حجم الطرد. كما أن سلسلة الإمداد الخاصة بقطاع البريد والطرود مؤهلة بالكامل لتحقيق التفوق في مجال خدمات تسليم الميل الأخير، في حين يتيح تحول نسبة متزايدة من مبيعات التجزئة المرتبطة بالإنترنت نحو تجارة التجزئة عبر الإنترنت أو التجارة متعددة القنوات، للمدن  التي تشكل مراكزاً حيوية للنقل والسفر مثل إمارة دبي، استقطاب حصة أكبر من هذه المبيعات غير المرتبطة بالاستهلاك المحلي، وهذا ما ينذر بزيادة الطلب على الخدمات البريدية طوال العام.     

ومن الواضح أن هذه التحولات التي نشهدها مؤخراً، ليست مؤقتة وإنما ستستمر لفترة طويلة في المستقبل، الأمر الذي يتطلب التحلي بالمزيد من المرونة وتبني الاستراتيجيات النوعية والتي تعتمد على الابتكار والتكنولوجيا المتطورة والرقمنة، للاستجابة للمتغيرات التي يشهدها العالم بشكل مستمر، والتي تؤثر على احتياجات المستهلكين بشكل مباشر.

وفي ظل التأثير المتزايد للتكنولوجيا، أصبحت مختلف القطاعات ترتبط فيما بينها من حيث الربحية والمكانة الريادية، بما في ذلك القطاع البريدي الذي يرتبط ارتباطاً وثيقاً مع عدد من القطاعات الاستراتيجية والحيوية، الأمر الذي يتطلب المزيد من التنسيق والتعاون مع عدد من الجهات التنظيمية والفاعلة ضمن قطاعي التمويل والتجزئة، إضافة إلى مجموعة من أصحاب المصلحة بما فيهم المنظمين والشركات. 

كما نسعى إلى مواصلة جهودنا ومساعينا في تقديم حلول سلسلة التوريد¬ مع نهاية العام الجاري، وتوفير الدعم المطلوب للشحنات التي تتطلب درجات حرارة محددة، وسط التزامنا في تعزيز مستقبل البريد، من خلال إرساء أسس الحوار والتواصل مع العلامات التجارية المختلفة، وعدد من القطاعات الحيوية الأخرى كقطاع الرعاية الصحية والاتصالات والسياحة.

وفي ظل التغير الذي يشهده العالم، نحن بحاجة إلى إحداث تحول في نماذج أعمالنا لاستشراف المستقبل وتحقيق الازدهار وسط واقع تشغيلي جديد، حيث يشمل دورنا في مجموعة بريد الإمارات، تسهيل وإدارة العمليات والخدمات البريدية، وتسيير أعمالنا ضمن المعايير الجديدة للتباعد الاجتماعي والتفاعلات غير التلامسية، حيث يمكن للنظام البريدي أن يلعب دوراً كبيراً في هذا الإطار، عبر مساعدة المجتمعات على المضي في هذا الواقع الجديد، والاستعداد لمواجهة  السيناريوهات المستقبلية عبر الاستفادة من مواردنا وخبراتنا وموقعنا الفريد والمتميز، فضلاً عن شبكتنا المتنامية من العملاء.

        It is not easy in this day and age to talk about the future of post. Not too long ago, the post office was a bastion of the local neighborhood - it brought people together, but over the years, with digitization and automation, we have seen a decline in the traditional postal model. However, that does not mean that the postal services around the world, including Emirates Post, are going to be sacrificed at the altar of technology. On the contrary, for postal services around the world, the future presents numerous opportunities for diversification, innovation and growth. 

Our future depends on paying heed to our customers, maintaining cost-efficiencies, increasing convenience and diversifying our product. We saw our businesses change in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic as our customers adopted digital and reduced-contact ways of accessing products and services. Concurrently, we experienced a boost in last mile delivery as the spike in online shopping worldwide increased demand for standard and express services. 

At Emirates Post, we are in the midst of a digital transformation process that helped us manage these two developments in a timely and adept manner. It reinforced the need for operational agility to adapt to new consumer needs as well as to perform our role as a vital service.  It also stood us in good stead as we ramped up our courier and last mile operations, boosting these workstreams. Like most postal systems around the world, Emirates Post is also a courier service provider.  As the volume of traditional correspondence like letters and documents decline, we are seeing this part of the postal business taking on a central role. 

E-Commerce is already a big opportunity for us. Both domestic and international parcel volumes are increasing, and the average parcel size is reducing. The postal and parcel sector's supply chain is uniquely placed to excel at last mile deliveries. In addition, an increasing percentage of offline retail is converting to online or omni-channel retail and travel and transport hub cities, like Dubai, can draw volumes, which are not linked to domestic consumption and hence, promises consistent, year-round demand.  

This is just the tip of the iceberg and in the coming years we need to remain agile to respond to shifting consumer behaviour with efficiency and dexterity. The changes we are witnessing right now are not momentary but here to stay, so staying nimble and on our feet is critical to respond in the short-term and the long-term to a world in flux. 

With the ever-expanding influence of technology, we are seeing our place and profitability increasingly link to other sectors as well. We are already working with regulators and players in finance and retail, as well as multiple regulatory and corporate stakeholders, to solidify our business proposition. Our futures will be bolstered by laying foundations for constructive dialogue with brands and sectors, such as healthcare, telecom, and travel. 

So, this is where our future lies - as a facilitator, connector, and pillar of the community. As the world changes, we need to transform our business models to anticipate and thrive in a new operational landscape. As we learn to function within the new parameters of social distancing and contactless interactions, the postal system can play a huge role in helping communities navigate this new terrain as well as future scenarios, using our unique position and resources, the vast array of talent at our disposal, and our ever-expanding network.
