Khalifa bin Tahnoun receives the first set of Wahat Al Karama commemorative stamps

Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Muhammad Al Nahyan, Executive Director of the Martyrs' Families Affairs Office at Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, said that the sacrifices, heroism, honor, and duty of the nation’s martyrs will remain immortalized in the country’s consciousness throughout time.

He added, while receiving the first set of the Wahat Al Karama commemorative stamps from HE Abdulla M. Alashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group Company, that the righteous martyrs will continue to be a source of inspiration for generations to defend the values ​​of justice, peace, and love of the homeland, and a source of pride and pride for what they have made, presented and exerted for the sake of protecting their homeland.

He pointed out that Wahat Al Karama is an Emirati monument of loyalty that embodies the vision and directives of our wise leadership in immortalizing the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while performing their national duty so that the UAE flag remains flying high. It also signifies the cohesion and solidarity between the wise leadership and our nation’s citizens. He thanked and praised Emirates Post Group for their initiative to issue this special set of commemorative stamps.

The design of the Wahat Al Karama commemorative stamps features the Martyr’s monument in the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi, and has been created to remember and recognize the nation’s honorable heroes for their sacrifices as well as the loyalty and dedication of our community in the UAE.

HE Abdulla M. Alashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group Company, stated: “Wahat Al Karama is a tribute to our brave heroes, the devotion of the UAE people and the nation’s core values. It reflects the unity between our leaders and the people, and the common aim of building a stronger future for next generations, as the UAE flag flies high. Emirates Post issued 100,000 stamps in four different designs, in addition to 4,000 Souvenir Sheets; 1,000 First Day Covers and 500 First Day Cover Souvenir Sheets. They are available for purchase on the Emirates Post Web Shop emiratespostshop.ae or from Emirates Post’s central Customer Happiness Centres across the country.
